The Commission has heard evidence from several current and former officials about internal management challenges within the anti-corruption unit.

Ramsamy’s evidence follows previous testimony that raised concerns about instability within IDAC, including allegations that decisions affecting high-profile corruption investigations were inconsistent and, at times, difficult to understand.

Throughout her testimony, Ramsamy maintained that the frequent changes in prosecutorial direction affected morale and complicated the work of prosecutors tasked with handling sensitive corruption matters.

Adv Andrea Johnson has previously denied allegations regarding her leadership of IDAC. The claims made by Ramsamy represent evidence presented under oath before the Commission and have not been adopted as findings by the inquiry.

The Madlanga Commission is expected to continue hearing evidence from additional witnesses as it examines the administration and operations of IDAC.
