(InsideOutNews) Twenty-three-year-old alleged gangster Regan Collis has appeared in the Boksburg Magistrates’ Court in connection with the fatal shooting of two Anti-Gang Unit members in Reiger Park last Friday.
The State has since linked Collis to the deaths of two women who were allegedly killed on the same evening, bringing the total number of murder charges against him to four.
Collis faces four murder charges
Collis is facing four counts of murder relating to the two Anti-Gang Unit members and two women killed in separate incidents on the same evening.
He is also charged with attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The allegations against Collis are yet to be tested in court, and he remains presumed innocent unless convicted.
Case postponed for bail application
The Boksburg Magistrates’ Court has postponed the matter to 25 August, when Collis is expected to apply for bail.
The case follows a deadly shooting in Reiger Park that resulted in the deaths of two members of the Anti-Gang Unit.
The State’s decision to link Collis to the deaths of the two women has significantly increased the seriousness of the charges he faces.
Collis appears in court
Collis appeared in court earlier on Wednesday as proceedings continued.
His next court appearance on 25 August is expected to focus on his bail application.
